Ontario Provincial Police are asking hunters not to target livestock that broke loose from their trailer earlier this week.
OPP in Kenora say around 10 a.m. March 1, a crash involving a commercial vehicle caused livestock to become detached from its trailer.

Officials said the cows were in the area around Highway 17 and Inglis Lake Road, and there are plans to safely remove the remaining cows from the area.
“For the sake of public safety and the safety of the removal team, Kenora OPP requests that no manhunt be conducted,” police said.
“Poaching livestock can result in charges under the Property Offenses Act as well as Criminal Code charges such as careless use of a firearm, careless use of a firearm, and theft.”
Anyone who sees livestock along Highway 17 near Inglis Lake Road is asked to contact OPP.
