A look at Easter celebrations in Saskatoon – Saskatoon


Families across Saskatoon gathered to end the long Easter weekend with a variety of local celebrations. Global News spent the last few days tracking the Easter Bunny to capture the city’s holiday celebrations and community spirit in action.

For starters, on Saturday morning, Optimist Hill hosts an Easter egg hunt. Children are invited to run up and down the hill to look for candy and prizes. It could be said that the event was a success, as all the eggs were found within the first hour of the hunt. The family then warmed up in the lounge with Easter-themed coloring.

On Sunday, many families headed a few miles out of town for Crossmount Cider Company’s Easter celebration. There’s fun for everyone, with a petting zoo, cake decorating, scavenger hunts and face painting. Laughter and cheers were heard throughout the Crossmount area as children participated in activities throughout the day. There’s even an Easter-themed hayride, allowing families to enjoy the beautiful spring weather.

To cap off the day, Global News visited Bass Pro Shop, where visitors received a souvenir that will last for many Easters to come – a free photo with the Easter Bunny!
